Description

The heart of this book are 101 small sketches that were created day by day during the pandemic  lockdowns of 2020 and shared via social media at the time. Neil Thorogood has revisited them so that they can be starting points for wider thoughts, meditations, and prayers. They evoke memories, suggest possibilities, and draw us towards more of where God is to be found all around us.

The book begins with some ideas on how it might be used by individuals and groups, and concludes with a series of suggestions of further published and online resources that might help us dig deeper into our contexts and our own experiences.

Neil Thorogood is currently minister of two United Reformed Churches in the denominationā€™s South Western Synod: Thornbury and Trinity-Henleaze (Bristol). He and his family moved there in the summer of 2020 during a respite outside the lockdowns of the COVID pandemic.

Prior to this, Neil taught practical theology at the URCā€™s Westminster College in Cambridge for fifteen years, concluding that ministry as college Principal. He is also active as an artist, and continues to explore ways in which art, worship and theology intersect.
