Description

The range of thought available from United Reformed Church worship leaders and academics, and their friends in the wider faith community, is on good show in this collection. The Bible studies all started life in the URC’s Reform magazine under the Chapter & Verse column, and were published from 2016 to the end of 2021.

This second anthology (the first collection, God is with us, was published in 2018) represents a diverse group of authors and a great breadth of perspective. You will be invited in one study to ‘fight like David’ and in another to understand what it means to ‘queer the lectionary’. In each case, the writers are responding to biblical passages from the experience of their own life stories.

Edited by Peter Knowles, a URC worship leader and former convener of the URC Communications Committee.
