Description

A skein (approx 90m) of orange beading cord left over after the URC’s hugely successful Walking the Way initiative. Available for free to any individuals or groups who can make use of them, just for the cost of the postage.

Beading cord is primarily used for stringing beads to create jewelry like necklaces and bracelets (see the photos for how the URC used it). It can also be used for bead weaving, embroidery, knotting, macramé and wire-wrapping.

Jewellery stringing: used for creating necklaces and bracelets, ranging from single-strand designs to complex, multi-strand pieces. Bead weaving and embroidery: specialised threads can be used for intricate beadwork like Peyote stitch, brick stitch, and attaching beads to fabric. Knotting and macramé: stronger, often cord-like materials are ideal for creating knot-based designs and projects involving larger, heavier beads. Wire wrapping: can be used to secure pendants and to connect components. The cord can also be used for crafting and developing motor skills in children.

VAT applies to products and postage when a VAT-able product is purchased (such as calendars, diaires and notebooks).
