Description

Mission and evangelism in different cultural contexts often needs to take different forms with surprising results. What light can the earliest Christians’ witness in strongly contrasting places shed on mission in modern contexts?

This fascinating study by a New Testament expert takes a close look at the biblical evidence in Acts for mission in two important and very different locations, a large urban centre (Caesarea Maritima) and a more remote, smaller community (Philippi). It brings related texts about the Christian story there to life and offers helpful links to Christian witness today.

He is married to Elaine, and they live near Cambridge.
